At Scoil Eoin N.S., Balloonagh, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. Our School Support Team (SST) plays a vital role in ensuring that every child receives the necessary educational, social, and emotional support to thrive.

Our Approach

The SST operates under a three-tiered system of support:

• Support for All – Universal supports for all students, including well-being initiatives and positive behaviour reinforcement.

• School Support (for Some) – Targeted interventions such as social skills training, learning support, and well-being programs.

• School Support Plus (for a Few) – Individualized plans for students with complex needs, involving specialist interventions and collaboration with external professionals.

How We Support Students

• Regular SST Meetings to review student needs and interventions.

• Collaboration with teachers, SNAs, parents, and external specialists.

• Confidentiality in handling student information.

• Parental & Student Involvement through open communication and feedback channels.

Our SST works in alignment with key school policies, including Child Safeguarding, Well-being & Pastoral Care, and the Code of Behaviour.
